REVIEW: Postscript by Cecelia Ahern

44358774. sx318
It's been seven years since Holly Kennedy's husband died – six since she read his final letter, urging Holly to find the courage to forge a new life.

She’s proud of all the ways in which she has grown and evolved. But when a group inspired by Gerry's letters, calling themselves the PS, I Love You Club, approaches Holly asking for help, she finds herself drawn back into a world that she worked so hard to leave behind.

Reluctantly, Holly begins a relationship with the club, even as their friendship threatens to destroy the peace she believes she has achieved. As each of these people calls upon Holly to help them leave something meaningful behind for their loved ones, Holly will embark on a remarkable journey – one that will challenge her to ask whether embracing the future means betraying the past, and what it means to love someone forever…

"There's always one more thing to say"

After finishing PS, I love you:-
Readers: We wish, there was a sequel.
Cecelia: You want it, you get it.
First things first, if you have not read PS, I love you, then you must read it right now, you are missing on something amazing and once you are done with it, get yourself a copy of Postscript because trust me you will want MORE! But if you straight away want to read this book, then, by all means, go ahead, it is not essential to read book 1 to understand book 2 but still recommended.

COVER & TITLE
What to say about the cover, it's blue and beautiful, emitting those happy and hopeful vibes and the title is just perfect.

One book, various stories, each character in this book has a story to tell.

Postscript takes a time leap of 7 years and introduces the readers to Holly, who has somewhat (a teeny tiny bit) recovered from her husband Gerry's death (who died from cancer) but at the same time feels guilty for being alive and moving on with her life without Gerry by her side. She has constructed herself a new, yet monotonous life but her perfectly constructed life comes to an end when a group of strangers (PS, I love you club) inspired by Gerry's letters approaches her. This club consists of people who do not have much time left to live and wants to leave behind something special for their loved ones, the same way Gerry once left for Holly. They require Holly's assistance but Holly is scared of getting sucked back into the grief she had tried so hard to get out of.

This book is all about Holly's relationship with the club and how she learns to fall in love with life again!

I am not going to talk about the members of the club because you need to read their story to know them.  A few lines of introduction is just not enough to justify their stories.

Postscript is one big tear-jerker. It made me an emotional wreck, I was a crying mess through half of the book.

This book is full of emotions, so keep yourself open to feelings. Cecelia has a way with words. The way she has described loss and love is just commendable. I loved how realistic this book was, life was not depicted as a bed of roses. There was no false hope but only truth. Even the characters felt real, it was like I was living with them, breathing with them. There was a lot of heartache but still, somewhere, this book made me want to reconsider my way of looking at life. It teaches you not to take life for granted and live in present, love with all your heart and let yourself be loved.

There is really nothing more I can say about this book. It is perfection.
Perfection with reality on top!

A must-read for each and every reader out there.

BOOK REVIEW: BOUND BY VENGEANCE(born in blood mafia chronicles #5 ) BY CORA REILLY

Growl
He’d never had something to himself, never even dared to dream about owning something so precious. He was the unwanted bastard son who’d always had to content himself with the leftovers of others. And now they’d given him what only a few weeks ago had been out of his reach, someone he wasn’t even allowed to admire from afar, one of their most prized possessions. Thrown at his feet because he was who he was because they were certain he would break her. He was her punishment, a fate worse than death, a way to deliver the ultimate punishment to her father who had displeased them so greatly.

Cara
She had always been the good girl. It didn’t protect her.
She didn’t know his real name. People called him Growl to his face and the Bastard behind his back. Both were names he couldn’t possibly have chosen for himself. His eyes were empty, a mirror to throw back her own fear at her. He was a brutal hand of the Las Vegas Camorra.
And now she was at his mercy.

BOOK REVIEW: BOUND BY HONOR BY CORA REILLY

Born into one of the leading Mob families in Chicago, Aria Scuderi struggles to find her own path in a world where no choices are given. Aria was only fifteen when her parents betrothed her to Luca – The Vice – Vitiello, the oldest son of the head of the New York Cosa Nostra to ensure peace between the two families.

Now with eighteen, the day Aria has been dreading for years is looming dangerously: her wedding to Luca.
Aria is terrified of marrying a man she hardly knows, especially someone like Luca who got his nickname ‘the Vice’ for crushing a man’s throat with his bare hands. Luca might be one of the most sought after men in New York thanks to his good looks, wealth and predator-like charisma that radiates power, but the society girls throwing themselves at him don’t know what Aria does: that the bad boy aura isn’t just a game; blood and death lurk beneath Luca’s striking gray eyes and arrogant smile.

In her world a handsome exterior often hides the monster within; a monster who ca…

Five Things 'FIVE FEET APART' Taught Us

'Five Feet Apart' is an American Romantic Drama, inspired by a real-life couple Dalton and Katie Prager, who both suffered from cystic fibrosis.

As you all know that I'm not a movie person, I'd choose books anytime over movies but as I am going through 'Reader's Slump' so I decided to watch Netflix and guess what? I found this treasure.

This movie impacted me greatly so I decided to share all my takings with you all. Let's start!
1.Live Big because life don't give us enough chances.

2. Take risks, you never know which moment is your last.

3. Love! Don't be scared of it. Loving won't kill you but not doing it will surely kill a part of you.

4. Take chances! We can die today, we can die tomorrow but we can also make our life worth living.

5. Breathe! Take a deep breath and enjoy your today. We are all on borrowed time. Instead of focusing on making your tomorrow good, make your today even better.

Until next time...Bye!
